 Room description

This lovely apartment, situated in a prime Midtown East location, is extremely comfortable for up to three people. The high ceilings and dark hardwood floors complement this spacious one bedroom apartment. The bedroom, decorated with an intricate throw rug, boasts a bright window with sheer white curtains and a full sized bed. In the living room is a large queen sized sofa bed accompanied by a relatively large living room table and another two bright windows. There is a surplus of storage space in both the living room and bedroom, the kitchenette is fully stocked, and the neutral toned bathroom will remind you of home.

Though located on the 3rd floor in a walk-up building, the apartment is only one and a half flights of stairs away from the ground floor. The apartment includes high speed cable internet access, a Flat TV, Play station 2, flatware, silverware, other necessary kitchen appliances, an iron, and, as with all of our apartments, clean bed linens and towels are provided.

Located in the heart of Midtown East, the apartment is within walking distance of Central Park, Grand Central Station, MOMA, and great shopping along the notoriously stylish Fifth Ave, along with various cafes, shops, and restaurants. You may never have to leave this neighborhood during your entire stay! But if you do, public transit, buses, and trains are all readily available, in fact, only a half a block way (51st subway station, E,V,6 trains)! Newly renovated and quiet, this apartment is perfect for a New York vacation or business trip.

Description of the area - Midtown East

Midtown is an area of Manhattan, New York City home to world-famous commercial buildings as Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Empire State Building.

Midtown, along with "Uptown" and "Downtown", is one of the three major subdivisions of Manhattan (though "Uptown" and "Downtown" can also be used as adjectives or prepositions, and can take on completely different meanings in the other boroughs, whereas the term "Midtown" cannot) and can be understood as those parts of Manhattan in neither of these two other regions - that is, all areas between 14th Street and 59th Street, from the Hudson River to the East River, about five square miles. The core of Midtown Manhattan is from about 31st Street to 59th Street between Third and Ninth avenues, about two square miles (this is the area most commonly referred to as "Midtown.") The "Plaza District", a term used by Manhattan real estate professionals to denote the most expensive area of midtown from a commercial real estate perspective, lies between 42nd Street and 59th Street, from Third Avenue to Seventh Avenue, about half a square mile.
